Amanda Brown composed the score of One Night, a multilayered drama about three women, childhood friends who are bound together by a traumatic event. It stars Jodie Whittaker (the first female Doctor Who) as Tess. The script by Emily Ballou and Fiona Seres explores notions of memory and who is entitled to tell a story. The ominous, wild beauty of the Illawarra setting ‘fits with the idea of weight they’ve been carrying,’ says Ballou. One Night was directed by Catherine Millar and Lisa Matthews and produced by Easy Tiger for Paramount+. Premieres 1 September
